Growing and collapsing cities call for planners and architects who design so called “urban habitats”, that create housing. Holistically arranged town planning projects have always partook of design mannerisms, that yield quirky moments. Modern types of settlements, built for a new working class of the upper middle class, are in particular involuntarily quirky. They can not hide their purposefulness behind the approach to appear “urban”. Furthermore the residents unwittingly even work against the blueprint.
